Uber Launches Courier XL in India to Expand Urban Logistics Capabilities

Bengaluru: Uber has launched Courier XL in India, a new service under its logistics vertical, Uber Courier. This newly introduced service will enable the transportation of heavier and bulkier goods within cities. 

The feature by Uber, which went live this week in Delhi NCR and Mumbai, enables users to send packages weighing up to 750 kilograms using three- and four-wheeler goods carriers. Additional cities are expected to join the rollout in the coming months.

Scaling Logistics for Businesses and Individuals

Building on the success of its bike-based delivery service, Uber Courier, which has already reached 25 cities and served over five million users, Courier XL represents Uber’s strategic expansion into India’s fast-growing on-demand logistics market. The company is targeting small businesses and individual users needing bulk or oversized delivery solutions.

Tech-Enabled Features 

Courier XL integrates key Uber features such as live tracking, upfront pricing, and app-based booking. These additions are expected to enhance user convenience and customer satisfaction. The new offering intensifies competition with established players like Porter, Borzo, and Mover.
