New Delhi, July 16(APAC Media): Emergent has become India’s latest unicorn after raising $130 million in a Series C funding round, taking its valuation to $1.5 billion.
The funding round was led by Creaegis, with MNI Ventures–Claypond Capital and Sentinel Global joining as co-lead investors. Existing investors, including SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Khosla Ventures, Lightspeed, and Y Combinator, also participated. The latest investment comes just months after Emergent raised $70 million in its Series B round earlier this year, reflecting strong investor interest in AI-driven software development platforms.
Founded in 2025 by brothers Mukund and Madhav Jha, Emergent develops an AI-powered platform that allows users to build production-ready software applications using autonomous AI agents, even without coding experience. According to the company, around 70% of its users do not have a technical background.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen product development, expand customer acquisition, and support business operations. Emergent also plans to open its first European office as it sees growing demand from customers in the region. In addition, the company is exploring acquisitions of smaller startups and engineering teams focused on infrastructure, cybersecurity, and reinforcement learning.
The latest funding values Emergent at nearly five times its valuation during the January 2026 Series B round, making it one of India’s fastest-growing AI startup success stories this year.
