SUV buyers in India have several options below the Rs 10 lakh mark this festive season.
The compact SUV segment has expanded in recent years, giving buyers options across petrol, CNG, turbo-petrol and automatic powertrains. For buyers planning a new car around Diwali, here are five SUVs that sit in or around the sub-Rs 10 lakh price bracket.
Nissan Magnite
The Nissan Magnite remains one of the lowest-priced SUVs in this list, with Nissan currently listing it from Rs 5.68 lakh ex-showroom. It is offered with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol option, along with manual and automatic transmission choices.
Renault Kiger
The Renault Kiger starts at Rs 5.81 lakh, according to Renault India. It gets 1.0-litre petrol and turbo-petrol engine options, while higher variants offer additional features and automatic transmission choices. The SUV also offers 405 litres of boot space.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx starts at a higher price point but remains an option for buyers looking below Rs 10 lakh, depending on the variant. It is available with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines, along with manual and automatic options. Maruti had launched the Fronx with a starting price of Rs 7.46 lakh.
Tata Nexon
The Tata Nexon is another key model in the compact SUV segment. It is available with multiple powertrain options and offers features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and six airbags as standard. Its wide variant range allows buyers to choose different combinations of features and powertrains.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza
The Brezza has also expanded its powertrain line-up in 2026 with the introduction of a new 1.0-litre Turbo Boosterjet engine. Maruti Suzuki launched the new turbo-petrol version with an introductory starting price of Rs 7.39 lakh. The SUV also continues with its 1.5-litre petrol engine and CNG option.
