Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred three IAS officers, including IAS Diksha Joshi and 18 PCS officers to new postings across the state. The reshuffle, executed on 8 May, is aimed at improving administrative efficiency at both the district and department levels.
According to the official notification by the government, IAS Diksha Joshi, previously Joint Magistrate in Hardoi, has been transferred to Meerut in the same capacity.
IAS officer Amit Kumar Ghosh, returning from central deputation, has been appointed Principal Secretary, Secretariat Administration, replacing K Ravindra Nayak. Ghosh has also been assigned multiple portfolios, including Administrative Reforms, Public Service Management, and Director, Administrative Reforms Directorate. He will additionally oversee the Dairy Development, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry departments, a significant consolidation of responsibilities under one official.
PCS-Level Reshuffle Focuses on District Administration
Among the senior PCS officers, several have been posted to key field roles:
Amresh Kumar, Deputy Director at Mandi Parishad Lucknow, has taken charge as ADM (Administration), Mathura.
Dayanand Prasad, formerly Additional Mela Adhikari at Prayagraj, has been posted as Additional Director (Administration) in the Agriculture Directorate.
Other important postings include:
Abhinav Pathak, ex-Special Executive Officer for the Kumbh Mela, has been appointed SDM Agra.
Alok Gupta, also from Kumbh Mela duties, is now SDM Kanpur Nagar.
Sunil Kumar Jha from the Revenue Council has been made Registrar of Major Dhyan Chand Sports University, Meerut.
Focus on Field-Level and Development Authority Roles
Navneet Goyal has been posted as ADM (Judicial), Maharajganj.
Gyanendra Nath becomes SDM Prayagraj, while Pushpraj Singh takes over as Secretary, Gorakhpur Development Authority.
Vinita Singh is now Secretary, Development Authority, Prayagraj.
Ajit Kumar Singh has been appointed GM, UP Sugar Mills Association.
