Chandigarh: The government of Punjab has announced the transfers and fresh postings of two Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. As per the official notification, IPS Deepak Pareek (2014 batch), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed the new Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Tarn Taran, replacing IPS Abhimanyu Rana (2018 batch).

Subsequently, Rana has been appointed Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of the Intelligence Department, SAS Nagar, Punjab.

These transfers are part of the routine administrative reshuffle aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of policing in the state.
