Gandhinagar: Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Company Ltd (GIFTCL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with QS Quacquarelli Symonds, a global higher education analytics firm, to advance the role of GIFT City as an international hub for education, research, and innovation.
According to GIFTCL, the collaboration will focus on areas such as the internationalization of education, knowledge exchange, thought leadership, and ecosystem development. The initiative is expected to support the integration of global institutions into India’s education landscape and foster an environment conducive to talent growth.
Sanjay Kaul, Managing Director and Group CEO of GIFTCL, said the partnership would help attract global institutions to India, enhance knowledge sharing, and reinforce GIFT City’s positioning not only as a financial and technology hub but also as a center for education and research.
Jessica Turner, CEO of QS, highlighted that the collaboration represents a significant step toward building a more connected and inclusive global education ecosystem.
QS’ recent Global Student Flows report projects India to remain one of the world’s largest sources of outbound students, with steady long-term growth of over 3% annually.
