Itanagar: The Dao Division of the Indian Army has signed an MoU with Bharti Airtel to enhance mobile communication infrastructure in the forward areas of Dibang and Dau Delai valleys in Arunachal Pradesh.
The joint effort reflects the collective resolve to overcome infrastructure limitations. It also provides amenities to residents and enhances operational capabilities for the Armed Forces.
The partnership will improve cellular network coverage. This will benefit both the residents and the deployed troops by ensuring reliable communication facilities.
The Dibang and Dau valleys have historically faced constraints in connectivity owing to the challenging terrain and their remoteness.
This is a significant step in bridging the digital divide in these strategically essential but remote regions.
Accordingly, the improved connectivity will support various facets of development, including education, healthcare, e-governance and entrepreneurship in these border districts.
