Patna:Â In a significant administrative overhaul, the Bihar government has transferred five senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Accordingly, IAS S Siddharth (1991 batch) has been appointed as the Development Commissioner.
In this role, Siddharth will oversee the implementation of the state’s development schemes. Before this, he served as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) in the Education Department.
The list of other IAS transfers includes
IAS Harjot Kaur Bamhra (1992 batch) has been posted as the Chairman cum Member of the Revenue Council. Previously, she also held the charge of the ACS, Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Department.
IAS Dr. B. Rajender (1995 batch) has been appointed as the new ACS of the Education Department.
IAS Arvind Kumar Chaudhary (1995 batch) has been made ACS of the Cabinet Secretariat.
IAS Anand Kishore (1996 batch) has been given additional charge of the Forest and Environment Department.
These changes will come into effect from 1st September 2025.Â
