New Delhi: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the state-owned telecom operator, has announced a special data-heavy mobile plan dedicated to students as part of its Children’s Day celebrations. The limited-period “Student Plan” will be available from 14 November to 13 December 2025.
Priced at Rs 251, the plan offers 100 GB of high-speed data, unlimited voice calling, 100 SMS per day and a validity of 28 days, aiming to support students’ academic and digital needs with an affordable option.
Announcing the new offering, A. Robert J. Ravi, CMD, BSNL, said the initiative aligns with the company’s recent deployment of a countrywide, Make in India, state-of-the-art 4G mobile network. He noted that India is now the fifth country in the world to develop 4G mobile network technology and BSNL has played a key role in its development and rollout.
Ravi added that the data-rich plan gives students an opportunity to experience the indigenously developed 4G network throughout the 28-day period with substantial data usage of up to 100 GB. He described the plan as both competitive and pocket-friendly for students requiring high data volumes for academic work.
“Once they experience the new BSNL 4G data services, we expect them to continue their association with us for a long time, as BSNL can assure excellent service quality and coverage,” he said.
