New Delhi: State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has handed over a dividend cheque of Rs 109.98 crore to the central government for the financial year 2024-25. The dividend distribution ceremony was held on December 15 in the presence of Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Heavy Industries, along with BHEL’s Chief Executive Officer and Executive Directors, were present at the event. The dividend payout for FY25 is double the amount paid by the company in the previous financial year.
At the ceremony, Kumaraswamy urged BHEL to play a key role in India’s development journey and contribute to the government’s flagship initiatives.
He also asked the public sector enterprise to further the goals of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India, underlining its importance in strengthening domestic manufacturing and heavy engineering capabilities.
