Kolkata: Jio and Bharti Airtel are vying for the top spot among telecom service providers in West Bengal.
In this race to the top, Vi has been the net loser, as per data from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
In September, Jio added 1.7 lakh subscribers and Bharti Airtel added 72,700 subscribers. At the same time, Vi lost 1.2 lakh subscribers.
In October, Jio added 73,782 subscribers while Airtel added 72,686 subscribers. Even BSNL gained 7,492 subscribers while Vi lost 2.5 lakh subscribers.
In fixed broadband subscriber additions, though Jio remained steady, Bharti Airtel slowed down.
At the national level, Airtel took the lead in ARPU in Q2 with Rs 256, ahead of Rs 211 for Jio. Vi, at Rs 167, remained well below the two leaders.
