Chandigarh, May 14 (APAC Media): The Punjab government has announced the transfers and new appointments of four IAS officers. Accordingly, IAS Puneet Goyal has been appointed as the Special Secretary of the Information and Public Relations Department.
He has also been given additional charge as the Director of the Information and Public Relations Department.
Before this, Goyal was serving as the Special Secretary of Medical Education Department.
Other appointments include
IAS Ramvir, who was serving as Administrative Secretary, Information and Public Relations, along with the additional responsibility of Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, has been relieved of the Information and Public Relations portfolio. He will continue as Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, and has now been assigned the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Water Supply and Sanitation.
IAS Ghanshyam Thori, currently serving as Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, and Mission Director of the National Health Mission in Punjab, has been entrusted with an additional as Secretary, Medical Education and Research while retaining his existing assignments.
IAS Akshita Gupta, who was serving as Director, Information and Public Relations, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Rupnagar (Ropar) against a vacant post.
These appointments aim to streamline governance in key departments and ensure efficient public service delivery in the state.
