Bhopal, June 29 (APAC Media): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the state’s Pulse Polio Campaign, the Suman Panchayat Programme, and unveiled the State Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) 2.0 Policy at the RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration and Management in Bhopal.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Yadav praised doctors and healthcare workers for their dedication and service. Highlighting the importance of the Pulse Polio Campaign, the chief minister said Madhya Pradesh has launched one of its biggest immunisation drives to ensure every eligible child receives protection against polio.
The large-scale campaign includes extensive manpower and infrastructure across the state:
- 1,400 special mobile teams
- 43,000 door-to-door vaccination teams
- 1.66 lakh vaccinators
- 26,000 supervisors
- 83,000 polio booths across Madhya Pradesh
The campaign aims to strengthen the state’s immunisation efforts and eliminate the risk of polio through widespread vaccine coverage.
Dr. Yadav also stressed the significance of the newly launched AMR 2.0 Policy in addressing antimicrobial resistance, a growing public health challenge. The Suman Panchayat Programme was also introduced as part of the state’s broader efforts to improve healthcare delivery and community welfare.
