Bhubaneswar, June 19 (APAC Media): In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, the Odisha government has transferred two IAS officers across the state.
IAS Dodda Venkata Swamy has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Government, Labour & Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Department.
He is a 2001-batch IAS officer of the Odisha cadre.
The other officer transferred is IAS Chithra Arumugam, who has been appointed as Director General, Training Coordination, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration (GAA).
She is a 1995-batch IAS officer of the Odisha cadre.
Previously, Arumugam was serving as Additional Chief Secretary to the Government, Labour & ESI Department. She also held additional charges as Additional Chief Secretary, Science & Technology Department, and Director General, Training Coordination, GAA.
The latest administrative changes are being seen as part of the Odisha government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance by placing experienced officers in key positions requiring focused leadership and effective policy implementation.
