Chandigarh, June 3 (APAC Media): As part of a significant bureaucratic rejig affecting major departments, the Punjab government transferred seven IAS officers. Accordingly, IAS Jaspreet Singh has been appointed as the Managing Director of Punjab Infotech.Â
Singh currently serves as the Director of the Industries and Commerce Department. He has been given the new role as an additional charge.
Other transfers include
- IAS Manjit Singh Brar, currently serving as the Administrative Secretary, Local Government, has been transferred and posted as the Secretary of Medical Education and Research, relieving IAS Ghanshyam Thori of his additional charge.
- Subsequently, IAS Ghanshyam Thori has been appointed as the Secretary of Local Bodies Department. He previously served as the Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department with an additional charge of Mission Director, National Health Mission as well as Secretary of Medical Education and Research.
- IAS Sakshi Sawhney has been appointed as the new Mission Director of National Health Mission. She will continue to hold the additional charge of Chief Administrator, Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA).
- IAS Kulwant Singh has been appointed as Director, Higher Education. Before this he served as the Director of Local Bodies Department.
- IAS Harsuhinder Pal Singh has been made the Director of Local Bodies.
- IAS Rubinder Singh Brar has been assigned multiple responsibilities. He has been appointed as the MD of Punjab Small Industries and Exports Corporation (PSIEC). In addition, he has been entrusted with the additional charge of Managing Director, Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation (PSIDC), relieving IAS Harpreet Singh Sudan of the responsibility. Brar has also been assigned the charge of Additional Secretary, Local Bodies Department.
