Bhopal, July 31 (APAC Media): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Thursday announced the establishment of a Dhanwantri Medical University in Ujjain. He also launched the AI-based Mission Buniyad during the Maharshi Sandipani Guru Parv celebrations held on the occasion of Guru Purnima.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for nine development projects worth ₹587.23 crore in Ujjain district.
The projects focus on education, healthcare, religious infrastructure and urban development.
Dhanwantri Medical University for Ujjain
Dr. Yadav announced that a new Dhanwantri Medical University will be established in Ujjain.
He said the state currently has one medical university in Jabalpur and another institution is needed to strengthen medical education and healthcare infrastructure.
The Chief Minister said the government is committed to supporting students from school education to higher studies.
Mission Buniyad Introduced in 500 Schools
The Chief Minister launched Mission Buniyad, an artificial intelligence-based learning initiative for government schools.
The programme will be introduced in 500 government schools across eight districts for students of Classes 9 to 12.
Officials said the initiative will provide AI-enabled personalised learning and improve classroom education.
Dr. Yadav said integrating India’s Gurukul tradition with modern technology will help build knowledgeable, skilled and responsible citizens.
1,000 Teachers Receive Appointment Letters
During the programme, the Chief Minister symbolically distributed appointment letters to 10 newly recruited primary teachers.
Around 1,000 teachers from three divisions also received appointment letters as part of the recruitment of nearly 7,500 primary teachers in the School Education Department.
He said teachers would play a key role in shaping future generations through quality education.
60 New Sandipani Schools Announced
The state government announced the establishment of 60 new Sandipani Schools across Madhya Pradesh.
The schools include:
- 39 schools under the School Education Department.
- 21 schools under the Tribal Affairs Department.
The Chief Minister said the government plans to invest around ₹25,500 crore in the first two phases of the Sandipani School project.
He said the schools combine the values of the traditional Gurukul system with modern educational facilities.
Schools and Principals Honoured
Six government school principals were honoured with the Sandipani Alankaran for achieving 100 per cent Class 10 and Class 12 board examination results for three consecutive years.
The Chief Minister announced ₹1 lakh as a recognition award for eligible principals and ₹5 lakh for school development activities.
Students securing top ranks in the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) examination were also felicitated.
₹587.23 Crore Development Projects
The Chief Minister inaugurated and performed bhoomi pujan for development projects worth ₹587.23 crore.
Major projects include:
- ₹453.40 crore for the development of Shri Kal Bhairav Temple, Shri Mangalnath Temple and Maharshi Sandipani Ashram.
- ₹78.75 crore for the main campus of Maharshi Panini Sanskrit and Vedic University.
- ₹12.70 crore for three new library buildings.
- ₹7.53 crore for a laboratory building and infrastructure works at Madhav Science College.
- Development works under Ujjain Development Authority’s Town Development Schemes, named Shri Krishna-Sudama Nagar.
The Chief Minister also said a proposal for a 1 MW solar power plant at Samrat Vikramaditya University would be taken up soon.
Geeta Bhavan Inaugurated
Dr. Yadav inaugurated the newly built Geeta Bhavan Auditorium at Madhav Science College.
He said similar Geeta Bhavans would be developed across urban local bodies in Madhya Pradesh under the state’s cultural infrastructure initiative.
Focus on Education and Simhastha Preparations
The Chief Minister said development in Ujjain is progressing alongside preparations for Simhastha 2028 and the proposed Indore-Ujjain Metropolitan City.
He also highlighted ongoing recruitment in government departments, including over 18,000 police personnel and 10,000 teachers.
Education and Infrastructure Push
The Chief Minister released the booklets ‘Sarvang’ and ‘Shri Krishna Vidyanjali’ during the event.
He said the government continues to support students through textbooks, uniforms, bicycles, scooters and financial assistance for higher education, including support for meritorious medical students.
Boost for Education and Urban Development
The announcements mark a major push towards strengthening education, healthcare and urban infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh.
The initiatives are expected to improve learning opportunities, expand public infrastructure and support the state’s long-term development goals.
