New Delhi, September 15 (APAC Media): The Delhi government will inaugurate projects and lay foundation stones for development works worth Rs 13,800 crore as part of the month-long ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’, marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, while addressing a press conference with Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra on Monday, said the campaign will begin on September 17, coinciding with the Prime Minister’s birthday, and conclude on October 17.
The projects will cover Yamuna rejuvenation, infrastructure, irrigation, flood control, power and public works, alongside several public welfare initiatives.
‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ will give fresh momentum to Delhi’s development.
From 17 September to 17 October, projects worth nearly ₹13,820 crore will be inaugurated and launched across the capital.

Highlights of Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan
September 17 | Mega Blood Donation Camp
The Delhi government will organise a mega blood donation drive across the city on September 17, with a target of collecting 2,500 units of blood.
September 17 to October 17 | Rs 13,800 Crore Development Projects
During the month-long campaign, projects and schemes worth Rs 13,800 crore will either be inaugurated or have their foundation stones laid by various Delhi government departments.
The major projects include:
- Delhi Jal Board (Rs 8,000 crore): Projects focused on Yamuna rejuvenation, including improvements to water infrastructure across Delhi.
- PWD (Rs 2,800 crore): Infrastructure and public works projects across the capital.
-  Power Department (Rs 1,500 crore): Projects aimed at strengthening Delhi’s power infrastructure.
- Irrigation and Flood Control Department (Rs 265 crore): Projects related to irrigation, drainage and flood management.
Organ Donation Platform
The government will also launch an official organ donation platform during the campaign, modelled on the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO).
The State Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organisation (SOTTO) will work towards promoting organ donation and strengthening awareness across Delhi.
School Competitions
The campaign will include tree plantation drives and ‘Mere Sapnon Ka Bharat’ competitions, with participation expected from more than 5,000 schools and academic institutions.
Students will present their vision of a developed India through paintings, reels, speeches and other creative formats.
Felicitation of Anganwadi, ASHA Workers
Anganwadi and ASHA workers will be felicitated as part of the campaign, recognising their contribution to public welfare and community services.
‘Ashirvad Ka Diya’ Programme
Under the ‘Ashirvad Ka Diya’ initiative, beneficiaries of government schemes will light lamps at their homes as a gesture of gratitude and to seek blessings for Prime Minister Modi on the occasion of his 25 years in public service.
Focus on Yamuna Rejuvenation
Highlighting the government’s plans for the Yamuna, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said its rejuvenation would require sustained efforts rather than a one-day initiative.
The Rs 8,000 crore Delhi Jal Board projects are intended to support the long-term improvement of the Yamuna along with water and related infrastructure in the capital.
Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra said the party would organise programmes across the city during the campaign. He also highlighted various initiatives of the Modi government, including improvements in exports and rural road connectivity.
