New Delhi, September 15 (APAC Media): Bank of India (BOI) showcased 12 digital initiatives at the Global FinTech Fest (GFF) 2026, held in Mumbai from September 9 to 11.Â
The solutions span digital payments, CBDC, cards, self-service banking, compliance, customer engagement, and fintech collaboration, reflecting the bank’s focus on using technology to make banking more secure, accessible, and convenient.
Here are the 12 key initiatives showcased by BOI:
UPI Help 2.0
UPI Help 2.0, integrated with the Omni Neo mobile banking application, enables customers to view UPI transaction history, raise complaints, and manage mandates across UPI applications. It also offers a transaction replay facility, helping customers revisit transaction details when required.
UPI Tap & Pay on PoS
This facility enables contactless UPI payments by simply tapping an NFC-enabled smartphone on a supported payment terminal. Transactions of up to Rs. 5,000 can be made through the service, adding another convenient option for digital payments.
Unified Ticketing Platform
BOI showcased a Unified Ticketing Platform integrated with an NPCI platform for interoperable QR-based ticketing. The solution can support ticketing across metro services, buses, and other public transportation networks.
IMPS Bulk Payment
Designed for corporate customers, IMPS Bulk Payment allows businesses to submit bulk payment requests through internet banking. The facility aims to simplify and streamline multiple digital payments for businesses.
Programmable CBDC
One of the key highlights was BOI’s user-level Programmable Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). Digital tokens can be issued with predefined conditions such as merchant restrictions, geographical limits, expiry periods, and purpose-specific usage.
Terra Mastercard World Credit Card
BOI introduced the Terra Mastercard World Credit Card, a contactless international credit card offering travel, dining, entertainment, and lifestyle benefits. The card has no issuance fee, while the annual fee for the primary card is Rs. 990.
Android-Based Cash Recycler Machine
In collaboration with Hitachi, BOI showcased an Android-based Cash Recycler Machine offering multiple self-service functions, including cash transactions, UPI-based cardless withdrawals, Green PIN generation, and instant debit card issuance.
ALPHA PLUS
ALPHA PLUS is a technology-enabled compliance management platform designed to support the bank’s compliance processes and strengthen technology-led compliance operations.
FinTech Connect Portal
The FinTech Connect Portal provides fintech companies with an open channel to register with BOI and submit proposals for potential collaboration, creating a structured route for fintech partnerships.
Markytics
Markytics is an in-branch customer engagement and cross-selling platform. It is designed to improve customer interactions while helping identify banking products and services that may be relevant to individual customers.
E-Kosha 2.0
E-Kosha 2.0 is a voice-based conversational banking solution powered by ToneTag. It aims to simplify access to digital banking services through voice-enabled interactions.
Across its GFF 2026 showcase, BOI highlighted a broader approach to technology-led banking, bringing together digital payments, programmable money, self-service infrastructure, compliance tools, customer engagement, and fintech collaboration.
The initiatives show how the public-sector bank is combining emerging technologies with its extensive banking reach to develop scalable and inclusive digital solutions.
