New Delhi: Leading Dutch water usage company Hydraloop Systems BV’s COO Frank Verschoor has emphasised on recycling of residential water usage for effective water management. He was speaking recently in virtual ‘Global Water Management Conclave’ organised by APAC News Network. The conclave was also supported by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, National Water Mission and Namami Gange, Government of India as ‘Host Partners,’ along with the Embassy of Netherlands as Country Partner. He said that ‘we can be more efficient in water usage by using residential water recycling as an alternative source. The consumers should be made aware of the scarcity of water and use it judiciously along with reuse and recycling.’
‘Hydraloop ensures that the average water usage per person is reduced and reuse of treated water is done. While greywater treatment cannot be utilised as potable water, it can be used for other purposes. With the help of the internet we are creating customer awareness. It also offers assistance in finding optimum water usage methods and enables change in privacy settings such as bypass and reset options,’ said Frank.
He further added that all Hydraloop systems are monitored 24*7 through the central server. ‘Along with remote support, there is also over the air software updates. The treatment process of the shower water involves multiple steps including sedimentation, floatation, foam fractionation, UV disinfection to name a few. The treated water is then distributed across households,’ further said Verschoor.
