New Delhi, September 14(APAC Media): PwC US and PwC India have agreed to form a joint venture that will combine their consulting and advisory capabilities across India and the US.
Joint Venture
The new platform will bring together PwC India’s Consulting business and the India-based capabilities of PwC US Advisory. The combined business will serve clients in India, the US and other global markets, with services covering strategy, business transformation, technology, engineering and artificial intelligence.
The move comes as India plays a larger role in the operations of global companies. The country has also become a major base for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), creating demand for consulting, technology and engineering expertise.
Focus On GCCs And AI
PwC said the combined platform will support US-headquartered companies operating GCCs in India and help clients manage cross-border operations. It will also expand the firm’s managed services capabilities and its work in AI and technology.
Sanjeev Krishan, Chairperson of PwC India and incoming CEO of the joint venture, said the deal will give Indian clients greater access to global consulting capabilities while allowing multinational and GCC clients to work with a more integrated platform.
Deal Expected To Close In 2027
The transaction is expected to close in the first half of calendar year 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. Until then, PwC US and PwC India will continue operating under their existing structures.
The financial terms were not disclosed. The joint venture will be jointly owned and governed by PwC US and PwC India
