Pune: Overcoming the pandemic induced slump and with the acceleration of the job market, Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT), Pune a constituent of Symbiosis International University, has been able to complete its placement drive for AY 2022 with renowned global firms offering job opportunities to its students. This year, the latest batch of B. Tech graduates have achieved 97% placement in record time. The highest package secured by the final year student, Sanket Shevkar stood at ₹42 lakh per annum. The median package for the batch was ₹6 lakh per annum. Over the years, SIT Pune has witnessed a steady year-on-year growth in its placement record.
The recruitment drive saw the participation of a plethora of national and international companies spanning various industries and domains offering global opportunities to the students. Leading recruiters at the drive included Indeed, Microsoft, Bajaj Finserv Group, Deloitte Consulting India Pvt Ltd, Cimpress, MiQ Digital India Pvt Ltd, Netcracker Technology, GE Aviation, Dassault Systems, Persistent, Philips India Ltd, and Atomberg Technologies Pvt Ltd to name a few.

SIT Pune’s Training and Placement Cell provides complete support to the visiting companies and makes arrangements for pre-placement talks, online assessments, interviews, and group discussions for its students. As part of providing the perfect blend of theoretical and practical learning, the institute also offers collaborative learning opportunities with industry leaders such as Tech Mahindra, Philips Healthcare Innovation Centre, Hyster Vale, Spark Minda, Vista Electronics, Varroc Engineering Ltd, PMS Robotics and many more.
The Institute has signed academic agreements with reputed Universities for academic and research collaborations to facilitate student and faculty exchange under its Global Immersion Programme. Some of SIT Pune’s partner Universities are IUPUI, Indianapolis (USA), Ingolstadt University (Germany), Leibnitz University (Germany), Loughborough University (UK), University of Leeds (UK), Arizona State University (USA), University of Queensland (Australia), Swinburne University (Malaysia) and many more. In addition, there are international faculty engaged in co-teaching and joint research at SIT.
Established in 2008, SIT Pune currently offers B. Tech programmes in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Robotics & Automation and M.Tech programmes in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Robotics & Automation and Embedded Systems. Research programmes leading to PhD degrees were introduced in the Faculty of Engineering of Symbiosis International University in 2010.
