New Delhi: Senior IAS Vasudha Mishra has been re-employed as Secretary of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for a period of one year.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the re-employment of Mishra to the post for a period of one year beyond the date of her superannuation (28.02.2023) i.e. from March 01, 2023, to February 29, 2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
She was previously working as Special Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.Vasudha Mishra IAS, a 1987 batch IAS officer of Telangana cadre, was appointed in the rank and pay of Secretary to Government of India by temporarily upgrading the post. Last year,she was given extension in upgradation of the post to the level of Secretary upto February 28th, 2003.
