New Delhi: Indian Trade Service (ITS) officer Dhirendra Verma, has been appointed the new Joint Secretary (Director level) in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Delhi for a duration of five years from the date of posting or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) released the order on Friday that announced the appointment of Verma by the central government.
Verma was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Telecommunications prior to this posting. Central deputation involves government employees to temporarily work for the national government from their regular state or local roles. This helps address important national tasks and projects, utilising their expertise. After the assignment, they return to their original positions.
