Shimla: The Government of Himachal Pradesh saw a major administrative transfer of eight Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Following are the names and postings of the transferred officers-
- Abhishek Jain, a 2002-batch officer, has been appointed the secretary for Home, Vigilance, and Information Technology. He will also be carrying out additional responsibilities as the secretary for Finance, Planning, Economics and Statistics, and as the secretary to the Chief Minister.
- Rakesh Kanwar is taking over as the new Education Secretary and wiil also be assuming the role of secretary for Animal Husbandry, Language, Art, and Culture. He is replacing Abhishek Jain.
- C. Paulrasu, the Secretary of Administrative Reforms who holds the additional charge for Cooperation and Horticulture, has been posted as the Secretary of Agriculture Priyatu Mandal, the Secretary for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, also serving as the Managing Director of HP Financial Corporation, will also serve as the Secretary for Technical Education and Fisheries. He also assumes the position of Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Appellate Tax Tribunal, Dharamshala.
- Chander Prakash Verma has been appointed as the Director of Land Records, and will continue to serve as the Special Secretary for Revenue, and Commissioner of Departmental Enquiries, along with his role as Special Secretary for Forest and Industries.
- Sandeep Kumar, the Special Secretary for Technical Education, has taken on the role of the Commissioner of Departmental Enquiries.
- Lalit Jain, the Chief Executive Officer of Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh Development Authority (BBNDA), Baddi, has been posted as the Managing Director of Himachal Pradesh Minorities Finance and Development Corporation.
- Manesh Kumar, who was awaiting his appointment, has been appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner in Hamirpur.
