Patna: As an initiative to restructure the administration, an order was issued, assigning additional charges to 3 senior IAS officers by the Bihar government.
1995-batch IAS officer, Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, is currently serving as Principal Secretary, Finance Department, along with the additional charges of Principal Secretary, Vigilance, Examination Controller, Bihar State Joint Entrance Examination Board, and Enquiry Commissioner, General Administration Department (GAD).
He will now also take charge of the post of Principal Secretary in the Planning & Development Department, the Secretary of the Bihar State Planning Board as well as the Project Director of the Bihar Aapda Punarwas Evan Punarnirman Society.
IAS officer Abhay Kumar Singh of the 2004-batch, currently serving as the Secretary of Tourism with additional charge of Managing Director of Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation Ltd. (COMFED) and Chairman, Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited, has been given the additional charges of Secretary of Information & Technology and MD, Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd. (BELTRON).
IAS officer Santosh Kumar Mall, from the 1997-batch, is currently serving as Principal Secretary of the Information Technology Department with additional charge of MD, Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (BELTRON), Enquiry Commissioner in GAD, and Officer on Special Duty in the Office of Resident Commissioner, New Delhi. He will continue to serve on the later two posts, along with the added responsibility of Principal Secretary, Urban Development & Housing department with additional charge of MD, Patna Metro Rail Corp. Ltd.
