Guwahati: The state government of Assam saw a minor bureaucratic shift recently as two IAS officers were transferred and posted, the Personnel Department informed via a notification.
IAS officer Mukesh Ch. Sahu, from the 1996 batch, who is the Principal Secretary, Women & Child Development, Social Justice & Empowerment, Tribal Affairs (Plain) and Welfare of Bodoland Department, was relieved from the charge of Principal Secretary of the Social Justice & Empowerment Department.
IAS officer Biswajit Pegu, of the 2009 batch, who was serving as the Secretary, Home & Political, Environment & Forest Department, was transferred and posted as the Secretary of the Social Justice & Empowerment Department. He will also be holding the additional charge of Secretary of the Home & Political Department.
