New Delhi: The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) recently granted approval for the appointments of several officers to Joint Secretary positions. The details of the appointments are as follows:
- Aswani (IRTS) has been posted as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Food & Public for a duration of five years, effective from the assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
- Hara Prasad Nayak (IRAS) will be serving as the Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor of NATGRID under the Ministry of Home Affairs for a period of five years, commencing from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, replacing Rajiv Sharma (IDAS:1993).
- Amit Katoch (IP&TA&FS), has been appointed Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner (HQrs) within the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) under the Ministry of Labour & Employment.
- Palka Sahni (IDAS) has been posted as Joint Secretary in the Department of Pharmaceuticals for an overall tenure of five years until April 2, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- Pankaj Hazarika (IDAS) will be serving as the Additional Secretary in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) under the Department of Personnel and Training for a period of five years, effective from the assumption of charge of the post or until further orders.
- Sandhya Bhullar (IAS) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) for an overall tenure of five years until March 31, 2024, starting from the date of assuming charge of the post.
- Vinay Kumar (IAS) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH). He belongs to the 1999 batch, from the Bihar cadre.
- Brijendra Swarup (IFoS) will be serving as the Executive Director (Projects) of the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) under the Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation. Swaroop is an IFoS officer of Sikkim from the 1996-batch.
- Raj Kumar Mishra (IPoS) has been appointed as Director in the National Water Informatics Center (NWIC) under the Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation. He has been appointed to the post for a period commencing from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- Shantanu (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. His appointment is effective from the date he assumed charge, and it is for a total tenure of five years until March 27, 2024, or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier. He belongs to the 1997-batch from the Tripura cadre.
