Central govt approves key bureaucratic appointments and postings

New Delhi: The Central government recently approved the transfer and appointments of several senior bureaucrats. Following are the changes made:

• IAS officer Hitesh Kumar S. Makwana from the Tamil Nadu cadre, has been posted as the Surveyor General of India. Previously he was serving as an Additional Secretary in the Union Home Ministry.
• IAS officer Anurag Agarwal of the Punjab cadre, has taken on the role of Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of External Affairs.
• IRS officer Rupinder Brar has been designated as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Coal.
• IAS officer Deepti Gaur Mukerjee of the Madhya Pradesh cadre will now serve as Additional Secretary in the Department of Health & Family Welfare.
• IAS officer Pallavi Jam Govil of the MP cadre, has been appointed as the Director General of Hydrocarbons.

• IAS officer Sudeep Jam of the Tamil Nadu cadre, is now posted as the Additional Secretary in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy.
• IAS officer Amit Kumar Ghosh, from the UP cadre, is the new Additional Secretary in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment.
• IAS officer Niraj Verma of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre has been appointed as the Administrator of the Universal Service Obligation Fund in the Department of Telecommunications.
• IAS officer Abhishek Singh from the Nagaland cadre, is now the Chief Executive Officer of the National e-Governance Division and will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer of Karmayogi Bharat.
• IAS officer Shakil P. Ahamed from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, is the new Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Textiles.
• IAS officer Gitanjali Gupta of the UT cadre has been designated as Additional Secretary in NITI Aayog.
• IAS officer Caralyn Khongwar Deshmukh from the MP cadre, is the new Additional Secretary in the Department of Rural Development.
• IAS officer Ritvik Ranjanam Pandey of the Karnataka cadre will now serve as Officer on Special Duty for the Advance Cell of the 16th Finance Commission.
• IAS officer Rajeev Kumar Mital from the Maharashtra cadre, has been posted as the Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Department of Atomic Energy.
• IAS officer Srikant Nagulapalli, from the Andhra Pradesh cadre, is appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power.
• IAS officer Rahul Sharma, who is from the Jharkhand cadre, has been posted as the Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat.
• IAS officer Manmeet Kaur Nanda of the West Bengal cadre, has been appointed the Joint Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has also granted in-situ promotions to the following officials, elevating them to the position of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.

• IAS officer Aneeta C. Meshram, from the UP cadre, is the new Additional Secretary in the Department of Fertilizers.
• IAS officer Pankaj Kumar Bansal from the Tamil Nadu cadre, has been appointed as the Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation.
• IAS officer Vishal Chauhan, who is from the Sikkim cadre, has been appointed as Member (Admin) in the National Highways Authority of India.
• IAS officer Akash Tripathi from the MP cadre has now been posted as the CEO of MyGov in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.
