Odisha Govt promote IAS G Mathivathanan and IAS Santosh Kumar Sarangi to ACS rank

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government recently announced the promotion of two senior IAS officers to the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) rank. The officers IAS G Mathivathanan and IAS Santosh Kumar Sarangi, both belonging to the 1994 batch of IAS, have been granted promotion to the Apex Scale in Level-17 of the Pay Matrix.

The decision was formalised through a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance (GA & PG) department. As per the notification, Mathivathanan, previously serving as the principal in the Housing and Urban Development department, has been appointed to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS). He is authorised to continue in this position until further orders.

Meanwhile, IAS Santosh Kumar Sarangi, currently serving as the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), has been accorded Proforma Promotion to the Apex Scale.
