Jammu: IPS A K Choudhary has been appointed as the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC). This decision follows a directive from the General Administration Department of Jammu and Kashmir.
An order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) said, “…the Lieutenant Governor of UT of Jammu and Kashmir is pleased to appoint A K Choudhary as Chairman, Public Service Commission for UT of J&K. He shall hold the position of the Chairman, PSC, till he attains the age of 62 years.”
Currently 59 years of age, Choudhary is serving as the Special Director General of Police, Crime. He is a 1991 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Jammu and Kashmir cadre, who previously served as the Director General (Crime) in Jammu & Kashmir.
