New Delhi: Arnab Goswami is now the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Punjab & Sind Bank, taking over from Mahima Agarwal, for a period of three years from April 3, 2024. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant.
Goswami has held positions at IndusInd Bank, and ICICI Bank, and has also served as the Vice President of Bandhan Bank. He has more than 20 years of experience in banking, covering finance, accounting, banking operations, MIS, financial analysis, regulatory reporting, and other areas.
Punjab & Sind Bank provides various products and services and has 1,561 branches and 937 ATMs. In the third quarter of FY24, its standalone net profit fell by 69.4% to Rs 114.31 crore from Rs 373.24 crore in the same period of FY23. However, its total income increased by 27.1% year-on-year to Rs 2,852.71 crore in the quarter ending December 31, 2023.
Following the announcement of Goswami’s appointment, the bank’s scrip rose by 1.34% on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
