New Delhi: The National Health Claim Exchange (NHCX), a digital health claims platform set in motion by the National Health Authority (NHA), is expected to be launched in the next two to three months.
The National Health Authority (NHA) and the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) collaborated last year to launch the NHCX. In June 2023, the IRDAI recommended all insurers and providers to join the NHCX.
With separate portals for every insurance company, the NHCX aims to simplify the process of health insurance claims for hospitals, patients as well as stakeholders by bringing all insurance companies under a single platform.
Insurance companies like Aditya Birla Health Insurance, Star Health and Allied Insurance, Bajaj Allianz Insurance Company, HDFC Ergo Insurance, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, The New India Assurance Company, Tata AIG General Insurance Company, Paramount TPA, and the United India Insurance Company have already integrated into NHCX.
