New Delhi: Wipro has appointed Vinay Firake as its new Chief Executive Officer of its Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, and Africa (APMEA) Strategic Market Unit (SMU). He is taking over from outgoing CEO Anis Chenchah.
Firake has over 26 years of experience within Wipro where he has served as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Wipro-Nordics Business Unit, based in Stockholm, and has also led the Manufacturing & Automotive Business Unit in Europe.
In this new role, Firake will be based in Dubai and will report to Wipro’s CEO and Managing Director, Srini Pillai. He will also become a member of the company’s executive board.
