New Delhi: One 97 Communications, which owns the Paytm brand, has appointed IRS officer Rajeev Agarwal, a former SEBI whole-time member, to the board as a non-executive independent director.
R.K. Agarwal, a former IRS official, has replaced Neeraj Arora, who resigned due to “preoccupation and personal commitments.” IRS Rajeev Agarwal will no longer serve on the board’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee, as well as the Investment Committee.
As a SEBI Whole Time Member, IRS officer Rajeev Agarwal was instrumental in mutual fund policy improvements in 2012 and the merging of the Forward Markets Commission with SEBI in 2015.
