Kakinada: Aemetis, a company that specializes in low—and negative-carbon-intensity products through renewable natural gas and renewable fuels, has appointed Sanjeev Duggal as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Biofuels Private Limited, the company’s India-based subsidiary.
Duggal will formally start working for the organization on July 1, 2024. He spent four years as the managing director of NTPC GE Power Services Limited and eleven more years as an executive at GE in India before joining Aemetis. He previously held business development and corporate treasury management positions for eight years at Cummins, a multinational provider of diesel engines and power solutions in the United States.
Universal Biofuels currently distributes biodiesel under a $150 million, one-year allocation from the Indian government’s three fuel distribution companies. Aemetis constructed, owns, and runs a 60 million-gallon-per-year biodiesel plant on the east coast of India, close to the port of Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh.
