New Delhi: In her Budget 2024 speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced significant enhancements to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, reaffirming the government’s commitment to bolstering the agricultural sector and supporting farmers’ income.
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, which provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers, will see an increase in its annual disbursement. Eligible farmers will now receive ₹8,000 per year, up from the previous ₹6,000, delivered in four equal installments. This increment aims to alleviate financial stress and ensure timely availability of funds for agricultural activities.
