Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerela government has announced the transfer of six IAS personnel. The names of transferred officers also consist of three District Collectors. The new District Collector of Thiruvananthapuram is IAS Anu Kumari, who was most recently employed as the Director of the Kerala State IT Mission. Anu is an IAS from the 2018 cadre. She will also assume the additional responsibility of chairing the monitoring committee, which was established to address the rehabilitation issues associated with the Vizhinjam port project.
Here are the names of the other bureaucrats that were transferred:
- District Collector of Idukki, IAS Sheeba George (2013 batch), has been transferred to the Revenue Department as an Additional Secretary. In addition, she will assume the entire responsibilities of the positions of Secretary and Commissioner of Housing at the Kerala State Housing Board.
- IAS V Vigneshwari (2015 batch), who was previously employed as the District Collector of Kottayam, has been relocated to the position of District Collector of Idukki.
- IAS Geromic George (2012 batch), who was most recently employed as the District Collector of Thiruvananthapuram, has been requested to undertake the position of Director of the Backward Class Development Corporation.
- IAS John V Samuel (2015 batch) has been appointed as the new District Collector of Kottayam. He was most recently employed as Director at the Backward Class Development Corporation.
- IAS Sriram Venkataraman (2012 cohort), who was previously employed as the CMD of Supplyco, has been appointed as the Joint Secretary and OSD of the Finance (Resources) Department.
