New Delhi: Nitin Bhanudas Jawale has been given the charge of Director of the Department of Atomic Energy, Mumbai. His appointment has been confirmed by an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). According to the order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved his new role under the central staffing scheme.
Jawale is an Indian Administrative Officer of the 2003 batch belonging to the Odisha cadre. His new role as the Director will involve supervising key operations and strategic initiatives within the Department of Atomic Energy. He will serve in the position for a tenure up to June 30, 2028.
The Department of Atomic Energy is a crucial department responsible for enhancing India’s nuclear energy and research capabilities. It aims to make the country energy-independent by increasing the share of nuclear power through the deployment of indigenous technology.
