New Delhi: NCERT has partnered with Amazon to make its textbooks available across India, aiming to reach students in even the most remote areas. At an event on Monday, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the initiative, highlighting its potential to improve textbook access and tackle distribution issues.
The new Amazon NCERT storefront will sell textbooks at the printed price, with Amazon helping to prevent the sale of pirated copies. This collaboration aims to ensure that students can get authentic NCERT books without any markup, directly through Amazon.
With plans to publish 15 crore textbooks for the 2025-26 school year, NCERT is expanding its reach to meet growing demand. The initiative also includes plans for interactive, AI-driven e-books as NCERT adapts to a digital learning environment.
This partnership also gives NCERT a new way to gather feedback on its materials, using customer insights from Amazon to help improve future editions. By working together, NCERT and Amazon hope to ease supply chain issues and make textbooks easier to get for millions of students across the country.
