Bengaluru: Amazon Web Services (AWS) has appointed Sandeep Dutta as the President for India and South Asia. The appointment has been confirmed by Jaime Valles, Vice President of Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) for AWS Global Sales. The move has come in light of the position lying vacant for nearly a year, after the departure of the interim country head Vaishali Kasture.
Dutta brings more than 20 years of experience in IT services. He previously served as the business lead at Accenture India where he spearheaded large-scale business transformations. In his new role at AWS, Dutta will focus on aligning the company’s vision with the needs of the customers in India and South Asia. His experience in driving digital innovation is expected to be significant for AWS as it aims to empower organizations to leverage cloud technology for operational efficiencies.
