Raipur: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has partnered with the Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust to establish a Healthcare Skill Development Centre in Nava Raipur.
The project will be implemented under SECL’s Corporate Social Responsibility framework with a total outlay of Rs. 35.04 crore. The initiative aims to equip youth from economically weaker sections with essential healthcare skills and improve their employment prospects.
MoU Signed to Formalise Collaboration
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the presence of Biranchi Das, Director HR, SECL. The agreement was executed by C. M. Verma, General Manager CSR, SECL, and Vivek Narayan Gour, Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust.
Centre to Offer Free Healthcare Training
The proposed centre will function as a centre of excellence and provide free training in key healthcare areas. Courses will cover nursing assistants, medical technicians, and allied healthcare roles. The training is designed to improve employability and support the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals in the region.
Modern Infrastructure and Learning Environment
The institute will feature academic blocks, hostels, staff housing, and other supporting infrastructure. The facilities are planned to create a safe and modern learning environment for students from different parts of the state.
Through this long-term initiative, SECL aims to strengthen the healthcare ecosystem in Chhattisgarh while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local youth.
