Pratap University is steadily building a digital campus through smart classrooms, campus-wide Wi-Fi, virtual learning platforms, and online assessments. Dr Surabhi Bhadauria explains to APAC Media that their digital roadmap is designed to empower learners, enable educators, enhance governance and create a future-ready university ecosystem
What are the digital initiatives at Pratap University that you would like to highlight?
At Pratap University, Jaipur, as a Pro Chancellor, I want to highlight that we focus on imparting core knowledge, whether digitally or physically. Why I say digital as this is more effective & we at Pratap University find it more progressive and modulated more towards time saving and assisted pictorial resources.
How are you inculcating the digital roadmap concepts among all the academic stakeholders, including students, faculty and admins?
Our digital roadmap is designed to empower learners, enable educators, and enhance governance, creating a future-ready university ecosystem.
What are the measures or initiatives undertaken at Pratap University towards building digital campuses?
Pratap University is steadily building a digital campus through smart classrooms, campus-wide Wi-Fi, virtual learning platforms, and online assessments. The university has strengthened digital libraries and modern computer labs to support teaching and research. Blended learning and technology-enabled pedagogy are encouraged among faculty. Administrative processes are also being streamlined through digitally supported academic and governance systems.
What are the initiatives undertaken for enhancing global exposure through strengthening International partnerships, exchange programs and International career pathways?
We have international tie-ups. Trinity College of London Graded examination centre at our city campuses. At the university level, we promote contributions to international journals & soon will soon become part of the regular curriculum.
University of Montenegro has been partnering with us since long.
What has been the focus on setting up research centres and incubators to encourage experimentation and more experiential learning?
Labs with AI technology and communication skill learning are part of the experiential learning.
How are you looking at industry academia collaboration towards revising the curriculum, making it more industry relevant and ensuring hands-on industry experience for students?
To revise academia, learning, and curriculum, it is essential to integrate management, science, and technology—because today, no single stream can function in isolation. While a student may pursue a major in one discipline, the other two must act as strong minors. An engineer, for instance, cannot succeed without understanding market needs, product viability, and customer behaviour. Recognising this, Pratap University is actively redesigning its curriculum by blending all three streams, creating a balanced knowledge triangle and implementing it on the ground to prepare truly industry-ready students.
How are you looking at expanding academic programs in areas of more cutting-edge technologies?
We are expanding academic programs by anticipating industry and societal needs rather than reacting to them. At Pratap University, this means introducing interdisciplinary, future-focused programs in areas such as AI, data science, cybersecurity, renewable energy, and digital business, while embedding these themes across the existing curriculum
