Chandigarh: The government of Haryana has transferred 33 officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS). As per the official orders, IPS Alok Kumar Roy (1991 batch) has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DG) of Railways and Commando (headquarters) in Panchkula. He is presently the DG of Human Rights and Litigation.

IPS OP Singh (1992 batch) has been given an additional charge as Additional DGP of the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau and as the Director of the Forensic Sciences Laboratory in Madhuban. He will also continue as the Managing Director (MD) of the Haryana Police Housing Corporation.

IPS Rakesh Kumar Arya (2003 batch), currently the Inspector General of Police, Telecommunication (headquarters) has been assigned the post of Commissioner of Police in Panchkula in addition to his present duties.

IPS Pankaj Nain (2007 batch) presently the Special Officer (Community Policing and Outreach) in the Chief Minister’s Office has been assigned additional charge as DIG, Security CID (headquarters).

IPS Ganga Ram Punia (2013 batch), the incumbent SP of Yamunanagar, will be the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Karnal.

IPS Rajesh Kumar (2014 batch), SP of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Haryana, has been posted as SP, Jind.

IPS Mohit Handa (2015 batch) presently serving as the SP of Karnal has been posted as DCP (Crime), Gurugram.

IPS Maqsood Ahmed (2016 batch), SP, Hansi, has been transferred and posted as DCP (Crime), Faridabad.
