Lucknow: In a significant bureaucratic move, the government of Uttar Pradesh has granted promotions to 74 officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS). Among them, senior IPS Lakshmi Singh (2000 batch), currently the Noida Police Commissioner, has been promoted to the rank of Additional Director General (ADG).
Two other senior IPS Officers of the same batch have also been promoted to the ADG rank. These include Prashant Kumar, currently the IG of the Lucknow range, and Neelabhja Chaudhary, IG of the Anti-terrorism Squad (ATS). Additionally, IPS Dinesh Juneja is also set to be promoted to ADG. He is currently serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
Furthermore, several officers have been promoted from the rank of SSP to DIG. These include:
