Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has announced the transfer and fresh postings of four senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. These administrative changes aim to enhance efficiency in various key departments. As per official orders, IPS Manish Shanker Sharma, a 1992-batch officer, has been appointed as the Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Rail. Before this posting, he served as the ADG, Police Manual, at the Police Headquarters (PHQ). His experience in police administration is expected to strengthen law enforcement in the railway network of the state.
The list of other transfers includes:
IPS D.P. Gupta, a 1994-batch officer, has been reassigned as the ADG, Community Policing, Right to Information (RTI), Lok Seva Guarantee, Co-operative Fraud, and Police Manual. Previously, he was serving as ADG at PHQ. His new role will involve overseeing public grievance redressal, transparency mechanisms, and fraud prevention within cooperative institutions.
IPS Meenakshi Sharma, a 1995-batch officer, who was earlier handling Community Policing and RTI along with Lok Seva Guarantee and Co-operative Fraud, has now been posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD)-cum-ADG at Madhya Pradesh Bhawan in New Delhi.
IPS A. Sai Manohar, also from the 1995 batch, who was earlier serving at Madhya Pradesh Bhawan, has now been transferred as ADG, Cyber, PHQ, where he will focus on cybercrime and digital security.
