Himachal Pradesh Govt Transfers 17 IAS Officers; IAS Abid Hussain Sadiq Made MD, HP Power Corporation Ltd

Shimla: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the government of Himachal Pradesh has announced the transfers of 17 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including IAS Abid Hussain Sadiq.

As per the government notification, IAS Abid Hussain Sadiq (2014 batch), previously the Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur district, has now been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of Himachal Pradesh (HP) Power Corporation Limited. 

The list of other transfers includes:

• IAS Dr. Nipun Jindal (2014 batch) has been transferred from Director, Ayush, Shimla, to Director, Digital Technologies and Governance, Shimla. He will also continue to hold the additional charge as MD of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), Shimla.
• IAS Rohit Jamwal (2014 batch), previously Director of Public Finance & Public Enterprises, has now been transferred and posted as Director, Ayush.
• IAS Pradeep Kumar Thakur (2014 batch) has been moved from the position of Settlement Officer, Shimla Division, to Mission Director, National Health Mission, Shimla.
• IAS Priyanka Verma (2015 batch) has been transferred from Mission Director, National Health Mission, Shimla, to Deputy Commissioner, District Sirmaur at Nahan.
• IAS Rima Kashyap (2015 batch), previously the MD of HP Agro Industries Corporation Ltd., has now been posted as Director, Language, Art and Culture, Shimla, and Secretary, HP Academy of Art, Culture & Language.
• IAS Sumit Khimta (2015 batch) has been transferred from Deputy Commissioner, District Sirmaur, to Director, Department of Empowerment of SCs, OBCs, Minorities, and Specially Abled, Shimla.
• IAS Rahul Kumar (2016 batch), formerly the Deputy Commissioner of District Lahaul & Spiti, is now posted as Deputy Commissioner, District Bilaspur.
• IAS Zaffar Iqbal (2017 batch) has been transferred from Commissioner, Dharamshala Municipal Corporation, to MD, Kangra Central Cooperative Bank Ltd., Dharamshala.
• IAS Kiran Bhadana (2016 batch) has been moved from the post of Director, Department of Empowerment of SCs, OBCs, Minorities, and Specially Abled, to the post of Deputy Commissioner, District Lahaul & Spiti.
• IAS Dr. Pankaj Lalit (2018 batch) has been transferred from Director, Language, Art, and Culture, Shimla, to Director, Women and Child Development, Shimla.
• IAS Ritika (2019 batch) has been moved from Director, Land Records, Shimla, to Commissioner, Dharamshala Municipal Corporation, with additional charge as CEO, Dharamshala Smart City Ltd.
• IAS Om Kant Thakur (2020 batch), previously the Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Mandi, has now been appointed the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Dev.)-cum-Project Director (DRDA), Bilaspur.
• IAS Abhishek Kumar Garg (2020 batch), formerly Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Bilaspur, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Dev.)-cum-Project Director (DRDA), Hamirpur, with additional charge as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Hamirpur.
• IAS Vijay Wardhan (2021 batch), who has been awaiting posting orders, is now posted as Secretary, HP Board of School Education, Dharamshala.
• IAS Rupinder Kaur (2021 batch), awaiting posting orders, has now been posted as Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Mandi.
• IAS Rajdeep Singh (2021 batch), awaiting posting orders, has now been appointed Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Bilaspur.
