Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh (UP) government has announced the transfer of nine Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including several senior officials. According to the official order issued by the state government, IAS Sameer Verma (2002 batch) has been assigned the post of Inspector General of the Registration Department, UP. He was previously serving as Secretary of the Social Welfare Department.
The list of other notable transfers includes:
- IAS Prabhu Narain (PN) Singh (2007 batch) has been put on the waiting list. Replacing him, IAS Pramod Kumar Upadhyay (2009 batch), currently the Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA), has been appointed as the new Sugarcane Commissioner.
- IAS Naveen Kumar GS (2007 batch), presently Secretary of the Irrigation Department, has been given additional charge as the State Nodal Officer for the same central irrigation scheme.
- IAS B. Chandrakala (2008 batch) has been relieved of her role as Secretary, Panchayati Raj. She will continue as Secretary, Women Welfare.Â
- IAS Bhupendra S. Chaudhary (2009 batch), Secretary of the Public Works Department, has been entrusted with the responsibility of Commissioner, Food and Logistics.
- IAS Vaibhav Srivastava (2009 batch), previously Secretary of the Home Department, has now been appointed as the Managing Director of the Pradeshik Cooperative Dairy Federation (PCDF), along with responsibilities as Secretary for both Women Welfare and Panchayati Raj departments.
- IAS Dr. Heera Lal (2010 batch), currently the State Nodal Officer for the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, will now take charge as the Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
- IAS Amit Singh (2011 batch), previously serving as Special Secretary of Urban Development and Managing Director of Jal Nigam (Urban), will now take over as Secretary, Panchayati Raj.
