Ranchi: In a significant administrative shake-up, the Jharkhand government has ordered the transfer of 48 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) across 14 districts. As per the official notification, IPS Amol V. Homkar (2004 batch) has been appointed Inspector General of Police (IG) in the Railways department. He previously served as the IG, Operations.
The senior-level transfers include:
- IPS Priya Dubey: Transferred from IG Jharkhand Police Portal (JAP) to Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Modernisation cum Training (additional charge)
- IPS Prabhat Kumar: Currently serving as IG Special Branch, gets additional charge of IG JAP
- IPS Tadasha Mishra: Transferred from ADG Railways to Special Secretary, Home, Prison & Disaster Management
- IPS Sanjay Anandrao Lathkar: Transferred from ADG Operations to ADG Railways
- IPS Akhilesh Kumar Jha: Transferred from IG Ranchi to Director, Jharkhand Police Academy
- IPS Michael Raj S.: Transferred from IG Bokaro to IG Campaign
- IPS Sanjeev Kumar: Transferred from DIG Hazaribagh to DIG ACB
District-level reshuffles include:
- IPS Ajeet Kumar: Transferred from SP City Dhanbad to SP City Ranchi
- IPS Praveen Pushkar: Transferred from SP Rail to SP Rural Ranchi
- IPS Kusum Punia: Transferred from SP Special Branch to Commandant JAP-9, Sahibganj
- IPS Kishor Kaushal: Transferred from SSP Jamshedpur to Commandant JAP-7, Hazaribagh
- IPS Piyush Pandey: Transferred from Commandant JAP-10 to SSP Jamshedpur
- IPS Nidhi Dwivedi: Transferred from SP CID to SP Pakur
- IPS Rajkumar Mehta: Transferred from SP City to SP Jamtara
- IPS Mukesh Kumar: Transferred from Commandant CISF Bokaro to SP Godda
- IPS Rakesh Ranjan: Transferred from Commandant JAP-1 to SP West Singhbhum (Chaibasa)
This large-scale reshuffle is part of the state government’s broader effort to enhance law enforcement and streamline internal security operations.
