New Delhi: Yotta Data Services, a cloud infrastructure provider, has announced a strategic collaboration with major American tech company NVIDIA to accelerate artificial intelligence (AI) development in India and Southeast Asia.
This partnership will make Yotta’s high-performance GPU compute resources available on NVIDIA’s newly launched DGX Cloud Lepton platform, which is a next-generation AI cloud infrastructure that connects developers to a global GPU marketplace.
Yotta’s GPU infrastructure, based at the NM1 data centre in Maharashtra’s Mumbai and the D1 facility in UP’s Greater Noida, will be integrated into DGX Cloud Lepton, with all data remaining within the national borders.
The platform integrates key elements of NVIDIA’s AI software stack, including NIM and NeMo microservices, Blueprints and Cloud Functions, to help accelerate and streamline AI development across sectors.
As part of this initiative, Yotta is expected to support the training of India’s large language model (LLM) via its Shakti Cloud, focusing on Indian languages and use cases.
This model is being developed under the IndiaAI Mission, a joint effort with the central government aimed at encouraging homegrown generative and agentic AI technologies.
“With this partnership, Yotta becomes one of the first to join the DGX Cloud Lepton marketplace and the first NVIDIA Cloud Partner in the Asia-Pacific region to participate in the Exemplar Clouds initiative,” said Sunil Gupta, CEO and Managing Director of Yotta.
“We are proud to deliver sovereign, high-performance GPU cloud infrastructure, enabling startups, enterprises, and researchers to build scalable and secure AI models within India,” he added.
As per the reports, Yotta will also deploy the latest NVIDIA B200 GPUs, designed to handle demanding AI workloads, including LLMs, generative AI and recommender systems.
DGX Cloud Lepton’s management software will allow real-time GPU diagnostics and automate root-cause analysis, helping reduce operational downtime and complexity.
Alexis Bjorlin, Vice President of DGX Cloud at NVIDIA, stated: “With Yotta’s infrastructure now on the Lepton marketplace, Indian developers and startups gain the ability to build world-class AI solutions, driving digital transformation from within the country.”
It is also understood that Sarvam AI, a homegrown AI firm, will be the first to utilise the Yotta Shakti Cloud on DGX Cloud Lepton to train a sovereign multimodal foundation model fluent in Indian languages.
