New Delhi: Anirban Banerjee has been formally appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Eveready Industries India.
Banerjee brings with him more than twenty years of experience in a variety of industries, including retail, consumer durables and fast-moving consumer goods. He was the Senior Vice President and SBU Head for Eveready’s Batteries and Flashlights division before being promoted.
In this capacity, he played a key role in spearheading the brand’s metamorphosis, enhancing its market domination, and initiating modernisation initiatives within the legacy company.
Banerjee had a lengthy and successful career at Godrej Consumer Products Limited, where he held several strategic leadership positions for about 14 years, before joining Eveready in 2022.
Commenting on the announcement, the company said: “With leadership experience across FMCG, Consumer Durables, and Retail sectors, Banerjee brings deep expertise in business management, marketing, and innovation. We look forward to his leadership as Eveready continues to build on its iconic legacy and accelerate its strategic growth journey.”
Banerjee, who is based in Kolkata, is currently leading Eveready Industries at a pivotal point in the company’s development as it looks to improve its marketability in a cutthroat industry, fortify its product line, and enter new markets.
